Xie Out, Gao In as Director of Today Art Museum

On August 12, Today Art Museum director Xie Suzhen formally resigned after a ten month tenure. Gao Peng was named director in charge of all museum programs.

Gao was admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2000, and later studied at Tama Art University and Hongik University. In September 2008, he received his doctorate from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2010, he was a visiting scholar at the University of the Arts London.

In April 2011, Gao Peng was named the deputy director of Today Art Museum in charge of the administrative, exhibition, and academic collection departments. Since he joined the museum, he has been responsible for curating and executing more than one hundred international and Chinese contemporary art exhibitions. He was selected to participate in the 2012 British Council China-UK Arts Management Exchange, the 2013 Goethe Institut Cultural Management Program, and the 2013 US Embassy Cultural Emissary Exchange Program. On August 12, 2013, he was formally named director of the museum.
